Get Personalized Job Search Advice

In addition to providing general job search advice and articles on The Prepary, I also often work with clients one-on-one, because everyone’s job search is totally different and personalized job search advice can make a big difference!

Armed  with over 5 years of experience as a recruiter and extensive expertise in hiring process as a whole, there are lots of pieces of your job search that I can help you with.  I work with clients across the country (by phone, skype, or facetime) or in person here in San Francisco.

Take a look below at a few services I offer & definitely reach out with questions.  I love having initial conversations (no pressure to sign up for more!) to hear about you and what you’re looking for in your search… so be in touch!  Additional information on my background can be found here.

Resume Editing (or creating):

As someone who has reviewed tens of thousands of resumes, I have a pretty good idea of what recruiters like to see on a resume… and how to make yours stand out.  I also am a firm believer in customizing your resume to the jobs you are applying for to get the maximum impact.  We’ll spend some time looking at your resume together and you’ll walk away with concrete feedback on how to create a better version of your resume.  Then we’ll finalize your new and improved resume, put the finishing touches on formatting, and get it ready to send!

Cover Letter Writing/Editing:

Cover letters are a daunting part of the application process.  The best cover letters I’ve seen are customized for the job, industry, and company, and show a ton of passion for those 3 things.  I’ll help you put together compelling cover letter or edit your existing one (many times we can make these edits as we edit your resume).

Networking, outreach to companies, and follow-up guidance:

It’s all about who you know these days! But fear not, even if you don’t have any connections in mind, LinkedIn now gives us the ability to reach out to almost anyone.  We’ll go over some great tactics on how to “network”, reach out, and get your application seen, even if you don’t have any previous connections.

Career Path guidance:

Not really sure what you want to do yet? I’ve recruited for jobs in tons of different departments (Marketing, PR, Human Resources, Finance, Buying, Production, and many more).  I can share my knowledge on those different types of roles with you and also help you figure out what you might be best suited to based on your “likes”, skills, and strengths.

Interview Prep + Mock Interviews:

Have an interview coming up? I can help you prepare by sharing the best interview preparation resources I know of and then actually giving you a “mock interview” asking you some of the most common interview questions.  Then I can give you feedback on what answers sounded great and what you can work on before the big day.

The random questions:

Ever feel like you’re facing a situation in your job search and just want to bounce some ideas off of someone who knows the answers?  Well, you’re not alone.  Some of my clients just like to schedule time to talk through the different issues they’re facing whether it’s “when should I follow up with the recruiter?”, “does this thank you note look okay?”, and plenty of other little questions.  Consider me your job search therapist. I can help with all of those!

Everyone’s job search questions, needs, and budgets are very different.  I charge an hourly rate so you are only paying for the advice and guidance you need and nothing more!
